Jan Ondrus is Professor of Information Systems and currently heading the ESSEC Digital Disruption Chair. He holds an MSc and a PhD in Information Systems from HEC Lausanne (University of Lausanne) in Switzerland.
His research examines the strategic role of information technology in the development of digital ecosystems. He is particularly interested in the disruptive and transformative aspect of digital technology for business model innovation and social impact. Also, he has been specifically studying the emergence of mobile payment platforms for more than 20 years. His research has been published in top academic journals, presented at major conferences, and actively used in his teaching in the GMBA, the EMBA, and executive education programs at ESSEC. He has been serving as an Associate Editor for academic journals such as the Information Systems Journal (2013-2018) and Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (2015-2020).
Over the years, Jan has been closely working with industry partners and government agencies. He was a director for the ESSEC Chair Media & Digital (2009-2016) and the head of the Chair of Networked Business Models (2015-2018). He has provided executive training for Air France/KLM, Auchan, Bolloré Logistics, BPCE, Danone, Dentsu, KPMG, Orange, Société Générale, Thales, and Takeda, among other companies. He has been a frequent speaker at major industry events and regularly provides comments for the media (CNBC, Reuters, Nikkei, SCMP, CNA, Wired, Le Monde, The Straits Times, The Business Times, ...).
In recent years, Jan held several administrative roles such as Associate Dean of Faculty, ESSEC Asia Pacific, Associate Academic Director of the Global MBA, and Director of Research of the ESSEC Center of Excellence in Digital Business.

With 10+ years of experience as a leader in tech industry in Asia, Europe and the US, Jérémy has led the launches and go-to-market strategy of many tech products, including Google's AI Assistants, Google Photo and Google Search AR and VR Products.
His passion for understanding and planning for tech marketing strategies has translated into a consulting firm, Albata Conseil, which helps startups in web3 and AI build efficient teams for GTM, and big groups and institutions like L'Oréal and Interpol understand the latest market trends.
At Digital Disruption Chair, he leads the Disruption Matrix efforts and organises the learning expeditions which took students to big names like Uber, Google, SAP, but also to innovative Startup accelerators and Institutions like European Commission's AI office.

CHAIR ASSISTANT
With over 6 years of experience in project management, account management, and translation, Asma currently serves as the Digital Disruption Chair Assistant at ESSEC Business School. She has contributed to various strategic initiatives that support the Chair’s mission of driving digital transformation in business and education.
Prior to joining ESSEC, Asma worked at one of Europe’s leading language services providers, where she specialized in commercial negotiation and managing complex projects. She was responsible for delivering tailored language solutions to international clients across multiple industries, honing her skills in cross-cultural communication and large-scale project management.
At the Digital Disruption Chair, Asma plays a central role in coordinating events and learning expeditions, actively connecting students with leading companies and institutions. She also contributes to strategic initiatives that promote the adoption of disruptive technologies in business and educational settings.
